Luckily I saw this light in a storefront window, otherwise I may have hesitated to buy it on line because even though the picture is good, it doesn't do it justice. It has such color variations, but all in warm tones - it is perfect in my foyer. I have it on a dimmer switch and get a lot of pleasure knowing it is actual fossilized stone - it is dramatic without being over the top and very much worth the price.
