This light is so much more then I expected. I have a traditional house, however my style is coastal contemporary. Trying to blend this together felt impossible. However, this light was able to blend my house style, with my overall decorating taste. It is definately lacking on instructions of where to put the strands of shells and glass beads. However, I found it was simple if you laid them out based on the letter they are wrapped in. The long ones hand in the center. The next longest hand alternating on the center ring. And the short ones hang on the outer.
The fixture itself is more brown then black for certain, this suited me. I have 14 ft ceilings and there was plenty of chain and wire, in fact extra.
Comes with extra parts, which will be nice to have for just in case.
Over all the perfect transitional light. My husband is cheap, and he is constantly telling me how much he likes the light. I keep saying even for the price? He says" I don't know that I'ld pay more but I think it is a great buy, for the price we paid!" Seriously, I have never heard this out of his mouth! The light speaks volumes to get that kind of ongoing compliment from my husband.
