We put this in our kitchen with a dimmer switch and its perfect. Even with the switch cranked up, the diffuser does a great job of casting even lighting (we were concerned that the individual bulbs would be visible, but they aren't). Spring loaded arm make for easy diffuser removal for cleaning & changing bulbs.
